Cake Wrap Information

(A set of 2 sheets: This wraps around a 6 inch round up to 8 inches tall)

Each sheet is basically A4, so approx 8 inches tall and 11.5 inches wide.

For larger cakes… 7,8,9,10 inches all require 3 sheets UNLESS……. Your cake is no more than 4 inches tall, then you can get two strips per sheet by cutting in half across the middle.

This means for a 7,8,9,10 inch cake you still only need 2 sheets. But if your cake is taller than 4 inches this will not be an option.

Gaps left when using 2 sheets

• 7 inch = approx 2cm gap missing

• 8 inch = approx 2 inch gap missing

• 9 inch = approx 4 inch gap missing

• 10 inch = approx 6-7 inch gap missing

  You can use the above information to work out how many sheets you want. If your cake is 7 inch round but only 6 inches tall, you have a spare 2 inches trimmed off the top, you could use that to fill your left over gap of 2cm. OR simply buy the 3rd sheet instead of patching up. Often the patching up effectiveness may depend on the design you choose.
